IGP Protection
Controlled Working Dog Training
IGP Protection is the most demanding phase of the international working dog sport IGP (Internationale Gebrauchshundeprüfung). It tests courage, nerve strength, obedience, and absolute control under pressure.
This is not aggression training. It is a structured, rule-governed discipline where dogs engage only on command and must release instantly when instructed. Control, clarity, and partnership are judged at the highest level.
As a National IGP Champion of the Czech Republic, I bring proven competitive experience and international training standards to every session. My focus is correct development, safety, and building stable, confident working dogs.
Properly trained IGP dogs are clear-headed, socially stable, and fully obedient to their handler.

FAQ
ask us
anything
Is IGP protection training aggression training?
No. IGP protection is a structured sport discipline focused on control, precision, and teamwork between handler and dog. The dog learns to respond to commands with stability and discipline — not uncontrolled aggression.
Is this personal protection or security dog training?
No. This program is strictly sport-based IGP training. It is not designed for guard work, security purposes, or personal protection. The focus is competitive sport performance and controlled training environments.
What dogs are suitable for IGP protection training?
IGP protection is best suited for working-line dogs with strong drives, stable temperament, and good nerve. Each dog must be evaluated before starting to ensure suitability for the sport.
At what age can a dog start protection training?
Foundation work and drive-building can begin at a young age, while formal protection exercises are introduced progressively once the puppy has fully changed his teeth and is physically ready.
Do I need previous experience to start?
No previous experience is required. However, commitment, consistency, and willingness to learn are essential. The handler plays an important role in the dog’s development in this sport.
